Senators Win To Force Game 7

Just when the Ottawa Senators look as if they're done, they find a way to keep going. 

Facing elimination, they did it once again in beating the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1 to force a Game 7 in the Eastern Conference finals, this time wiping out an early deficit to push the Penguins to their second elimination game of the postseason.

Penguins In Dominant Game 5 Win

The reigning NHL champion Penguins are now one win away from advancing to their second consecutive Stanley Cup finals. With the way they beat the Senators so convincingly 7-0 in Game 5 on Sunday, new evidence was provided that this banged-up group might have more than enough left in the reserves to pull off a repeat.

Predators' Aberg Scores Go-Ahead Goal, Then Evaluated For Concussion

Nashville left wing Pontus Aberg had to leave Saturday night's 3-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks to be evaluated for a concussion minutes after he scored the goal that gave the Predators a 2-1 lead in the third period.

Aberg fell face-first to the ice with 11:24 to play in the third period but stayed in the game. After he scored his first career playoff goal, the NHL concussion spotter asked him to go into the locker room for further tests.

Crosby Returns, But Capitals Beat Penguins In Game 5

Sidney Crosby returned to the Penguins' lineup on Saturday night after passing his concussion test, but it wasn't enough to help Pittsburgh eliminate the Capitals in Game 5 in Washington.

Crosby had an assist and three shots on goal in 19:10 of ice time, but the Penguins lost 4-2. Game 6 is Monday in Pittsburgh. The Penguins lead the series 3-2.

Alex Ovechkin Takes Blame For Game 4 Loss

In a game the Capitals desperately needed, Alex Ovechkin managed just two shots on goal. He took two penalties. He was held off the scoreboard for the fourth time in five playoff games.

Now, his Capitals are on the verge of elimination following their 3-2 loss in Game 4 of their series against the Penguins and he's putting it on his shoulders.

"I didn't play my game tonight. Me personally, I have to play much better," Ovechkin said. "I didn't control the puck well. I make stupid decisions. Unfortunately, it happened."
